Let us share a little story about how our journey began and what inspired us to create Love Is Halaal.

What feels like a lifetime ago, we crossed paths on a marriage platform. Over months of meaningful conversations, we got to know each other—not with the intention of marriage at first, but as two people finding common ground. There was no need for pretence or appearances, instead, we connected on values, aspirations, and faith.

As time passed, we realized that what we had was truly special, something rare and worth holding on to. Our dreams for the future aligned, and that’s when serious discussions about marriage began. Rather than following conventional dating practices, we chose a different path—one we believed would bring blessings into our union. We didn’t meet privately or rush into things. Instead, our families got involved, and our parents arranged for us to meet in a way that honoured our values and traditions. Looking back, the love and blessings we share today confirm that our decision was the right one.

Many years later, our relationship remains rooted in love, trust, and faith—something we want for every couple. However, finding the right partner isn’t always easy. In today’s world, many marriages struggle or end because couples don’t take the time to truly understand one another before committing. Divorce rates are rising globally, and while some separations are necessary, many could have been avoided if both individuals had clearer expectations from the beginning.

This is why we created Love Is Halaal, to help singles meet with sincerity and purpose. Unlike mainstream dating apps that rely on algorithms, we believe that no software can determine compatibility. Marriage is not about finding someone identical to you or checking off a list of preferences. Rather, it is Allah who handpicks two people to be together, and often, the best couples are those who are different yet complement each other in the most beautiful ways.

To help individuals make informed and meaningful choices, we developed a detailed marriage questionnaire.
