Exciting Website Update: Profile Pictures Now Allowed

We’re excited to announce some important updates to our website, driven by popular demand. If you’re a registered member, you may know that we’ve traditionally not allowed profile pictures showing faces or bodies. Our goal was to foster deeper connections based on personality rather than appearance. We still believe that true connections go beyond looks, but we’ve come to understand that this approach may no longer serve the best interests of our users as well as Love is Halaal.

Based on valuable feedback, we’ve decided to lift the restriction on profile pictures. In today’s world, where most people are comfortable sharing photos on social media, the absence of profile pictures on our site can be a deterrent for new users, reducing our reach and limiting your chances of finding a match.

Moving forward, users will be able to upload profile pictures at their discretion. However, to protect privacy, these photos will only be fully visible to paid members, while regular users will see blurred versions.
